Insert the tube jig into the hollow cavity of the Mad Man Craw Tube and push the eyelet out the backside. Leave the hook exposed or bury the hook point back in the Craw Tube for a weedless presentation (very effective when drug slowly along the bottom). |

Rig the Mad Man Craw Tube as a jig trailer by inserting the jig hook through the tail, into the body cavity and exiting in the center of the back. Or try the Mad Man Craw Tube as a trailer on rattling jigs by cutting off the tail and sliding the tube over the jig's rattles. |

To Texas Rig the Mad Man Craw Tube, insert an #extra wide gap hook through the end of the craw tube, and exit just under the tail. Pull your hook through so the offset shoulder sits in the solid tail section. Spin your hook and bring the point through the tube and let it ride exposed down the center of the Mad Man Craw Tube's back, or go weedless by hooking the hook point into the back of the craw. Add small strips of lead tape to the shank of the hook to give it a more keel weight when pitching or swimming through cover. Stack 3-5 strips on top of each other depending on the speed of descent you want. |

For a Carolina Rig, use a wide gap offset shank hook. Leave a leader between the hook and your swivel. On the line coming from your reel, slide on your weight, then slide on a glass bead behind it. To float the bait off the bottom, try adding styro foam to the hollow cavity of the crawfish tube. Again, you may want to add small strips of lead tape to the shank of the hook to give the lure more keel weight |

Several weighted hooks are available on the market. As in the texas Rig and the Carolina Rig, you can make your own weighted hook by applying lead strips lengthwise on the shank of the hook. Stack 3-5 strips on top of each other. Now you can fish the Stack 3-5 strips on top of each other without a bullet weight. |

Set up your drop shot rig with a #2 or #4 mosquito hook. Or for a weedless drop shot try a 1/0 wide gap offset shank hook, Texas Rigged. Now just tie the hook directly to your line using a palomar knot, 6 to 18 inches above the end of the line depending on how high you want to suspend the bait above the bottom.Use a drop shot or down shot weight to keep your bait suspended off the bottom and to allow breakaway without losing the entire rig. |
